INSANITY diary

Yesterday was the fitness test for the insanity work out program that I am going to ‘do’ for the next 60 days. We will see how dedicated I am as time goes. I have a YMCA membership too and I dont want to give that up!

The fitness test seems like it should be no big deal, just 8 work-outs for 1 minute in length. I’m a casual runner, so I was sure it would be kind of a throw-away.

WRONG-O!

My favorite part of the program was at the end, seeing myself and the crew I was doing this with all just laying face down on the ground sweaty and gasping for air. Humiliating but hilarious! If we were a sitcom, a laugh track would be allllll over that.

Now that it has been 24 hours I feel like all of my muscles are clenched. Frankly, it is hard to stand up from a seated position. It’s funny, you think you know your body, and really, you forget a lot about it. Maybe you just block it all out, but somehow it’s always a surprise to really FEEL your muscles again. 

Insanity lives up to its name. My muscles can fully relate…
